Choosing the proper cable management is crucial to ensuring performance in industrial spaces and decreasing downtime and operational and repair costs. Various factors should be considered when selecting a cable management system. We’ll take you through the importance of cable management systems in industrial applications, the types of systems on the market, and what characteristics may impact your decision.
Supplier Outsourcing: Quality Assurance & Accountability?
- Posted on December 13, 2021
Have you considered that some suppliers 1) outsource preparation of installation drawings, 2) outsource manufacturing and fabrication, and frequently to different entities?
Why Choose Corrugated Fiberglass Roofing Panels?
- Posted on June 26, 2021
Fiberglass roofing panels are specially produced to thrive in harsh conditions that come with the territory of industrial, wastewater treatment, and commercial plants. But what sets them apart from traditional metal roofing, and how could FRP better serve your work environment? Cost, weight, durability, and ease of installation are generally the most important factors when choosing a roofing material.
Fiberglass Strut Channel Uses & Applications
- Posted on June 25, 2021
Specifications in challenging conditions often require support that is corrosion-resistant and fire-retardant, among other important characteristics. To ensure that structures in industries such as chemical plants or wastewater treatment (among others) remain in service, Enduro engineers fiberglass strut channel systems. Learn more about our fiberglass strut channels, how they're manufactured, and what their applications are by reading more below.
Baffle Walls in Water Treatment Applications
- Posted on June 18, 2021
Baffle walls and baffle systems are pre-engineered walls designed for potable water and wastewater treatment flow control. Wastewater treatment is an essential process for many industries, and because this water often contains harsh contaminants such as acid, bleach, dyes, petroleum byproducts, sludge, and more, it’s essential that you have the right equipment and systems in place.
Well-Designed FRP vs. Other FRP
- Posted on June 16, 2021
Well-Designed FRP VS. Other FRP Service life and cost performance of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composites depend on good design and judicious selection of materials and processes. In FRP composites, glass fiber reinforcements control structural properties; whereas, resin type controls corrosion resistance and service temperature suitability.
FRP vs Traditional Materials
- Posted on May 17, 2021
Industries from wastewater treatment to aerospace to military to industrial construction all require specialized products that can withstand challenging conditions. Whether that's extreme weather or exposure to corrosive and harmful chemicals, traditional materials such as steel, wood, or even aluminum will not always stand up to the task.
Pultrusion Process & Structural Composites
- Posted on January 26, 2021
Introduction to Pultrusion Pultrusion is a manufacturing process used for production of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composites. This process effectively combines many elements, which offer a mix of properties and characteristics that can boost efficiency of the final product. Some features of the innovative process include choice of reinforcements and resin, positioning of reinforcements, plus complex shape and length capability.
Conquering Corrosion Resistance with FRP and Corrosion Resistance
- Posted on November 26, 2019
Corrosion not only deteriorates materials, surfaces, and equipment, it eats into profits and productivity, and has an outsized impact on the bottom line of many industries, such as mining, various processing, and transportation. Fortunately, modern solutions exist to help you conquer corrosion and keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. There are many corrosion-resistant materials available, but fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composites can deliver the optimum solution with outstanding structural performance and corrosion resistance for a broad range of industrial applications.
Answers to Your Tuff Span Building Panel Questions
- Posted on November 26, 2019
Ever wonder how fiberglass panels stack up against traditional materials? What about protection against the sun? Which Tuff Span™ fiberglass panels are walkable? Below are some of the most frequent questions we receive about Enduro's Tuff Span™ fiberglass building products. Q: Are Tuff Span™ building panels the strongest FRP material? A: Yes, based on equal product weight comparisons. For higher strength and stiffness, Tuff Span™ FRP panels typically have 15-20% more reinforcing content than woven and 40% more than chopped strand materials. The straight, continuous, bi-directional alignment utilized in Tuff Span™ is the most efficient means for load
FRP Cable Tray Provides Best Solution for Harsh Conditions
- Posted on November 26, 2019
When designing a cable management system for your new or existing facility, consider using a fiberglass (FRP/GRP) cable tray over traditional materials. Non-metallic cable trays provide superior protection in harsh environments where corrosion resistance and long life span are important factors. There are many who still believe that steel outweighs the competition, which is true in that steel does, quite literally, outweigh fiberglass. However, fiberglass provides the same strength-to-weight ratio at just one-third the weight of steel. This allows for an easier, more cost-effective installation. In addition, this weight savings provides tremendous life cycle cost savings. In addition to being resistant to corrosion, the fiberglass cable tray is also non-conductive and non-magnetic, therefore reducing shock hazards.
Why Choose Fiberglass Composites?
- Posted on November 26, 2019
Invented in the 1930s, initially developed for military uses in WWII and gaining more widespread use in the 1950s, fiberglass composites have become a staple in the modern world. Naturally, there have been many advances in fiberglass composites over these years and its use has spread to many industries. But what exactly is a fiberglass composite and why would I chose to use it?
